21 Black Belts attended the RITA’s annual Umpire course in Stillorgan Taekwon-Do School (Dublin). The course was conducted by Master Robert Howard VII and Mr Mark O’Donnell. One of the innovations of the course was that the umpire watched videos of patterns and scored them electronically.  The range of scores was displayed and discussed, then the appropriate score was awarded by the Umpire Committee. By the end of the day all the umpires were converging to a common score, and had a much clearer understanding what a poor, average and good pattern was for each grade.

The results of the couse will be posted after the Umpire Exam.
