The Maynooth Taekwon-Do School re-opened for training in February 2003 under new Instructor Mr Stephen Doyle 6th Degree. Maynooth is one of the older schools in the RITA being founded nearly 20 years ago by Mr Gerard McClellan 4th Degree.
Mr. Stephen Doyle 6th Degree began his training in 1987 under Mr Michael Nevin in Old Bawn. After Mr Nevin moved from Old Bawn in 2000 Mr Doyle became the Senior Instructor. He has represented Ireland on numerous occasions including the 1993 European Championships in Holland. Mr Doyle has attended many International Seminars under Grand Master Rhee and Grand Master Park traveling as far as Hungary and England to participate. While attending a seminar in Hungary he was the first person to be graded to International Umpire "A" by Grand Master Park Jong Soo. One of Mr Doyle's most memorable moments came in 1992 when he got to train under the Founder Gen. Choi at a 5 day seminar in Dublin. Mr Doyle won Gold in the 2010 European Championships for 6th Dan Patterns.
Mr Doyle was appointed the RITA National Coach in September 2005
